Purpose
Combat Stress complies with the Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice governing the procedures for self-exclusion. This policy covers the steps we will take to prevent an individual who has entered a self-exclusion agreement with us from participating in our lottery.
Scope
This policy covers all individuals who have entered into a self-exclusion agreement with Combat Stress in relation to our lottery.
Roles and Responsibilities
- This policy is overseen by the Director of Strategy and Communications.
- All activity associated with lottery self-exclusion is managed by the Head of Individual Giving.
- The Individual Giving Team must be informed of this policy, process any requests, and ensure the Head of Individual Giving is advised.
What Happens with a Self-Exclusion
- Self-exclusion is a formal process whereby a person requests to be prevented from participating in the lottery for a minimum period of six months.
- Self-exclusion is irreversible during the chosen exclusion period. Once a person self-excludes, Combat Stress will block their account and they may not apply to play again until the chosen exclusion period has expired, up to a maximum of five years.
- Individuals will not be able to sign up to play during the selected self-exclusion period, either online or over the phone.
